BUIES CREEK, N.C. --- Tyrell Nelson (Charlotte, N.C.) and L’Hassane Niangane (Chalon, France) each recorded a double-double to lead three Runnin’ Bulldogs in double figures, as second-seeded Winthrop shot 60 percent in the second half to break a 29-29 halftime deadlock and outscore sixth-seeded Gardner-Webb 53-40 in the final 20 minutes en route to an 82-69 win in Saturday’s semifinal round of the Big South Conference Tournament.
